I think I solved the issue. The seats do appear to be a 64-65 GM Chevelle seats. And the bases are indeed mopar. I got to looking this morning and someone had installed different bases on the seats using some adaptors made of square tubing. Kind of hidden up inside the seats. Hence the...
I will look into this. I appreciate all of your input. I will look for some part numbers. The weird thing is that two of the inside mount holes lined up precisely which is why I thought they were mopar.
Yes. I agree they do look like it. I am not sure honestly. I know that the inner studs lined up. Kinda weird. When my car was parked it was just an old Plymouth so they could be from anywhere.
So I bought a 68 Satellite a year ago. It came with these seats and they did bolt in and the holes lined up from what I can tell. Obviously they are not 68 seats.
My GM buddies swear they are GM. I say the chances of the studs lining up with a Mopar are slim to non-existent.
Another...
Yes, at some point I am going to have to do the wrecking yard/professional parts people thing. I know some car guy out there has these parts in the shed, and I would like to find him. I have alot of parts in my shed, just not parts for this car LOL
From 4-24 until 4-28 I will be in the Tri-Cities area of SE Washington. I live towards Klamath Falls, in southern Oregon. Strongly prefer to deal face to face.
I have a blue 68 Plymouth Satellite with a light blue interior. Car is a two door. I'd look at most anything that will get my car...
I am waiting too hear back from the seller. It isn't a money making thing. Just a car that may be better to start with than my other cars. Green 73 Challenger with a 318 is not much to get excited about.
So I own a couple of B bodies. Considering buying an E body but looking for a lower cost driver just to screw around with.
Are the 73 or 74 Challengers worth that much less than the 72 and older? I am thinking driver with patina and just enjoy it as it is.
Any thoughts? Any advice on E...
Yes. I have a few Mopars and have owned some older Fords. I prefer the Mopar. Not much interested in Ford cars, but I do own and love Early Broncos. Not the cars though. GM cars are a nice second for me.
Earthly Nova's aren't horrible. Can get close to a driver for 10K, or 12-14 and get a mildly modded one. They will need work though but parts are everywhere.
They are pretty hard to find in Oregon. At least what I am looking for so I am keeping what I have. Overall, I have quit buying much of anything and I am happier.
Still wouldn't mind a 68-70 B body project but not too much around.
I have got a few offers on some grill parts. But still need the bulk of the list. If the seller is patient, I could probably get most anywhere in Oregon or down into northern NV of CA with a little prior notice.
