    318 Cam Suggestions

Only two production LA 318 engines had anywhere near 9.5:1 compression. The 67-69 was advertised as 9.2:1. I have not seen one blueprinted stock as such. Not saying it won't. ...and the 84-ish-91 LA roller, also advertised as 9.2:1. I have seen at least one of those (on FABO) blueprinted stock...

What would you do to these windshield channel corners?

I get all the original lead off the car and weld the joints solid. It is in the cowl ends/lower window channels, top of the A pillars, quarter to roof C pillar, and rocker to quarter joint.

heat or no heat for the intake

Good to check they can get sticky. As far as fuel , everyone has their own ideas but I like cool fuel and air when trying to make more power. I would keep the heat cross over blocked.

    Sundays......

Mark, can you describe your painting process for the undercarriage? I like the two-tone effect with the pans being a ?semi-gloss? black and the frame being a ?semi-gloss? grayish. I want to do the same thing to my 68 Coronet. Is it SPI poly primer followed but the black; tape and then spray the...

What would you do to these windshield channel corners?

Lots of guys remove all the lead, personally I like using lead, done properly it's a very good long term fix that is more resistant to failure due to flex than any conventional body filler... The drivers side still looks pretty good after 57 years... The passenger side the lead isn't what...

Doing a swap and need advice

I think the long tailshaft is what you need;same as all the b-bodies. You will likely need a different driveshaft also.

What would you do to these windshield channel corners?

Thanks for the tip. Question: It appears that there might be solder on the top of the cowl as well. Do I need to melt that out as well or can I leave it? (I'll likely have to fill it with filler.)
