I just used my last 40 litres of it in my 500 stroker six pack, runs like a dream! NO pinging at all, and yes, it smells great! (also highly illegal here in Oz for a street car to use it, can't even buy it without an ANDRA licence!)
Remember if you're tuning mech-sec carbs you have to treat as 3 carbs or a double pumper, as in all your idle screws should be adjusted the same. Worked for my triple 500's.
My mech-secs on a 500 stroker have 67 jets in centre and 72's in the out boards, not sure on shooters though, but all 3 are annular discharge, with 30cc pumps.
My set up is mechanical, 3 x 500's. I used a Ford tri-power linkage so it has sequential mechanical secondries (Or 3rdries?? LOL) Not all 3 carbs at once.
I'd recommend the braided fuel line kit,secondary metering blocks and rear carb base plate from Promax, all make tuning and life easier with a six pack.
Also, i forgot mention it's a 5 1/2 drive each way to the Willowbank drag strip for me too!
