Make sure you did not break the pins out of the board or broke their connection. Very common failure. Also tighten all the nuts that connect the gauges to the panel. With one gauge working that means the limiter is working.

That plug is 5 pins.

One thing that gets overlooked is the adjusting sequence. The emergency brake needs to be fully backed off so the shoes seat properly on the upper anchor points. Then the service brake gets adjusted. Then the emergency brake gets adjusted. Out of proper adjustment can result in brake drag.

There should be a mounting area on the core support or hood. Not sure exactly where a 70 b-body goes. I would lean towards the core support/header panel.

You are doing things in the worse possible way. Buying parts in a shotgun pattern will cost you more in the end. You start with a block and get the right piston size and go from there.

One simple thing you can do to help isolate the issue. Unplug the rear harness behind the left kick panel. If it does not blow the short is in the rear harness. If it does blow then its dash forward.

That's the dust boot that is attached to a factory style seal. It does not cause a leak. If it is leaking you need a seal and possibly a tail shaft bushing. Myself I would just replace the seal now and see where it goes from there.

What is the bore size now? Needs to be bored. You will need to get pistons so they can fit them.
