well, if I took a picture it would be of a sway bar thats to long hahaha. I need a sway bar the length of an A body sway bar but the depth of a B body sway bar to clear the K member. Not a huge deal. I'll just have to do some more research. Fabricate something up I guess.
I got the Hotchkis kit, everything except upper and lower control arms. I got my lower from QA1 and uppers from Performance online because I wanted the extra caster.
I did everything at once. New shocks, leaf springs, sub frame connectors, tubular control arms, bigger torsion bars, rear sway bar, lower control arms, borgeson steering box, saginaw pump, along with power disc brakes. It also lowered my car a good inch or so. I don't know which made the most...
So a quick question to throw out there. I updated all my suspension and steering. I mean EVERYTHING!! handles great. I have a hotchkis front sway bar however that wont fit. I installed some lower control arms that make the sway bar to long. Looks like they are made to fit a shorter a body sway...
It gets damp in northern california near the ocean. early mornings I can pop the hood and see the condensation on exposed connections like my ballast, alternator, etc. So I add some grease and shrink tube over everything to give it a longer life. I installed a new harness, but if I didn't I...
I wired it through my fuse panel "radio key on" 10amp fuse (I don't have a radio never will). But as stated above, I have to be careful not to leave the ACC on otherwise the choke will be getting power. But there is no reason for me to leave the ACC key on since as I stated above, no radio :)...
You can find everything online. When I rebuilt my dash cluster and rewired my car I found diagrams online and just sat in my car with my laptop (I don't have a printer).
I ended up studying the diagram on my computer, then simplified it by drawing my own diagram of ONLY what I was working on...
I forgot to mention, find a wire diagram for your switch. It just accured to me that maybe the parking lights and tail lights come from the same connecter. I am probably wrong but you will need the diagram anyway to know where the tail lights and parking lights get their power.
If you look up...
Here is a question: What bore size is your master cylinder? or more specifically, what bore size should I run with disc brakes up front, and drums in back? They sell 1 1/32 and 1 5/16" bore size.
Turn the switch on and use a multimeter (voltmeter), probe, whatever you got and check for voltage. No voltage? Bad switch. Voltage? Probably a wiring issue. If the headlights work probe that connecter since you know it will show voltage. I like to do that on something I know works. I had a bad...
10.95" is the smallest disc Dr. Diff sells. Should fit 15's fine. You can add the option for a front disc/rear drum combination valve. It's an extra 85 bucks.
I think the guy before me did paint around my dash with that silver. But I thought he just touched up what was factory, could be wrong though. It's an LA built car, and californians love there "dealer options".
Here are some photos of my 67 Belvedere II. Cluster is stock (Tach is blocking oil pressure dummy light and ammeter). I also removed the a/c and heat controller which was where my tach is now. 3 center gauges went where a vent for a/c used to be. I did paint my gauge needles. They needed a...
Nice, my plan is the same, I just need to figure out the bracket situation to mount the pump. I'll probably just have one made since I havnt been able to find one for a 67 318.
Going to pick up a Borgeson PS gear box (Delphi 600) and was wondering if anyone knows offhand what sector shaft size to get. I believe I need the 1 1/4 inch (they also make a 1 1/8 inch). It is for a 1967 plymouth belvedere II.
And has anyone combined it with a 70's style saginaw power...
I've been noticing more car shows here saying nothing over 1974 or 76. My favorite is the "No Trailer Queen" rule. You can't show your car unless you drive it there. There is an AAR Cuda I see at almost every show between San Francisco and San Diego. That guy is living the life and one bitchin'...
My dad told me don't buy something you can't fix yourself. And if a repair is beyond what you can do, research, understand it at least, get the parts yourself and get it fixed for cheap. Of course factory warranties can be nice :)
That should be the rule of showing cars. No factory warranties...
