The Secondary uses a 6-32 5/16" and the Primary a 3/8". They are fillister head screws not flat head. Do need to file peen off to remove and be slow about backing out. Out, then in, file more until come out nice and easy. If they are center punched I do drill the center punch first to remove...
If you're just cranking it, is going to pulse. There is a standard volume per minute as a test 1 quart per min at 500 rpm. Vacuum test at inlet of 10" Hg at 500 with line disconnected from carb. Yes to rod. The lever must engage the rod so rod needs to be pushed up against cam (hopefully...
For 66-67 the manual talks about balancing equal. The 68 and up are different carbs and jetting for CAP. It is about getting cylinder distribution right and no misses on front cylinders.
These are OEM correct choke housings in excellent condition. These are used on the 66-67 cars. Would work on later one but would not be correct. If you need original housing because of a missing one or corroded from heat tube failure here they are. Asking $100ea shipping included for USA.
Yes in CAP cars the crankcase ventilation became a closed system and the breather got a nipple to go to air cleaner so any emissions are burned through engine, either at vacuum port from PCV or through air cleaner if venting from cap. Not sure about 66 but 67 hemi/440HP was a chrome valve.
As...
Chrysler was able to get the 426 Hemi Exempt from CA emissions for 1966 model year. In 67 all CA cars were CAP.
For hemi it meant the 4324/4325 Carburetors and different distributor along with emission valve for 4 speed cars. The primary difference is leaner idle jet in rear carb, and...
2642482. You can use the Hemi one. It is a big Block distributor. With these your really paying for the Tag.
The 68/69 cars are emission cars. So your going to have more mech advance in the cam. Less initial timing. Even hemi.
They were 15deg so 30 at crankshaft. Initial was 0 degree.
I...
LD shaft is the 66-67 Hemi and 440 4 spd shaft. On the cam plate, you need to remove the felt in center and remove the spring clip. That removes cam off shaft. Need the 2 digit letters under the cam plate. X on top, but the part number is on bottom. That can help determine which distributor...
The shaft has a part number, and the cam also does. Those 2 part numbers can tell you what year model. Also tells you the curve info by crossing it with other data in the books. The vacuum advance has a stamp # on arm. Again helps with curve and part number too see if original to the...
No not what I am saying. I was assuming from your first post you have a federal pump. I was making the point that year of federal would not matter. Saginaw, TRW and Federal have different shaft diameters so pulleys don't swap. A TRW has different mounting bracket and specific pully for a 68...
