That paint completely camouflages the lines of the car.
Kind of makes it look like a 66/67 fairlane.
Would have to do a stop and investigate if I passed that.
Agreed
And I'll add Original trim can / will be damn tough to find . Unless you get lucky
Most guys that have the cars tend to hoard spare trim
At one time I had just about every piece NOS , But that was a long time ago
I could use some luck with this car. Overcoming the mistakes others made over the years has been daunting. I noticed yesterday that the pass rear wheel bearing sounds a little noisy when turning the axle. Kinda like I can hear/feel the bearing slightly. Don't hear or feel that on the driver...
I was in HS in the 1990's.
I also was in HS in a town of about 4000 at that time. So not exactly a lot of rich kids, and this was the tail end of family farms in WI, so mostly a mix of failing family farm kids and city kids.
The one rich kid, that was actually rich AF, got handed his dad's...
I grew up in the early 70's. (graduated in 73) In high school there inly a couple Mopars. Jim Holmes had a black 63 Polara and I had my 69 Road Runner. There was a couple Camaro's, one a 302 Z car, a Boss 302 Mustang, one farm kid drove a Shelby 350, another farm kid had a 67 396 Chevelle, a...
Doug I swapped mine from a 5 to 6 speed. Worth every penny the truck drives so much nicer with a good load behind. I guessing I’m probably $6.5k into the swap with a core, a rebuild, and driveline shortened and lengthened, clutch and flywheel.
Welcome from NY.
Try and find one as complete as possible.
A whole car is usually a better deal than buying a bunch of parts to build one.
It's tough to find good 66 charger parts in very good condition.
Best of luck
So.. i talked to FTI and Transgo (wanted to ask if i did something wrong in the kit would it make too much pressure) both told me too much pressure will make the TC do what mine is doing. Soo.. pressure gauge showed up yesterday, they told me to T off of the pressure side of the cooler lines...
Just wait till he tangles with "the engineer". It will be epic. I wonder if it will be as entertaining as the old SNL version of Point, Counter Point with Dan Akroyd with Jane Curtain. Jane, you ignorant ..ut!
