Dieseling is the carb throttle plates not backed down to idle or dripping more fuel into the mix at idle.
How much money do you want to spend here? Can you install the AVS2 carb yourself? It may run good out right of the box and save you hundreds of dollars. Shop rates are not cheap.

V01 means the roof and body are the same color. Nothing specific to hood only. You couldn't get the hood all black on a 69 RR. The V21 is the hood/fender top black paint with body color down the center.

We as mopar folks are lucky they did this test. They proved there are no thin wall castings, they show the thick web 400's, they tested the iron in different year blocks.
I don't mind repeating that BB Chrysler blocks are not...
