closing the loop, found a broken wire on the clutch safety switch. fixed it and the car cranks up just fine.
put everything back together and i think I fixed the steering wheel issue with the blinker return. the hold spring on the back of the steering wheel was in the wrong position, i think...
ok, got down to the ignition switch, no loose wires or anything obviously broken, but the ignition switch looks original. it may have just given up the ghost. lots of copper shavings from the dry plunger on wheel contact ring. i will heavily grease that thing to make sure it stops that.
looked through all that, dont see any issues. car was fully restored, all those connectors are new-ish, a few years old.
im pulling the wheel etc. always had a squeal sound when turning, lots of shavings in there from the horn contact ring on the back of wheel. can i just dielectric grease...

i had a different problem. ton of pressure built up in the tank. had "vented" cap on my charger, it wasn't vented good enough. drilled vent hole better, just another bit size up. no more issues
you are correct, it sits right next to my leg in second and 4th, as the angle slides it over.
i also have thought about cutting the pistol grip off but thats not necessary.
if the ball version doesnt move it over successfully, there is always heat and force for a sweet custom bend.
good point. i looked around a little more and found the "Classic". I initially didnt find one with the 5 speed w/ R lower right version. i only found the 4 speed versions.
