Well, my search for a decent vapor separator crapped out. So, I opted for putting a 68-70 style venting system on the Charger. I just had to punch a hole on the trunk floor... for the tube to vent into the frame rail. I'll tie two of the tank nipples into this system, and the other two into...
These are relatively cheap, but aftermarket companies want a day's wages to ship them. Does any have a couple of these gas vent tube grommets floating around? 68-71 B bodies, and I believe the E bodies use them too. Thanks.
Punxsutawney, PA... yeah, home of the groundhog. Great little town, at the time (1973-1993). I can't imagine a better place to grow up. I just went back last weekend, after about twelve years away. Man, things have changed! We went from about eight elementary schools down to one, and the Jr...
Yeah, when I first called him it was the same way. If he's engrossed in his work, he won't answer... I like that actually. He's good at returning phone calls.
I'm looking at a set of steelies on Summit's site. Their computer-generated compatibility tool says they are not compatible with a '73 Charger. They're 15x8 with a 4.5" BS, so I'm assuming the center bore is the deciding factor. Will the bigger bore matter? If so, would hub rings make...
Yes sir... John Lehman in Wadsworth. Right beside the drive-in theater on Greenwich Rd. 330-336-5765. He's the local go-to, and does outstanding work! He did a set of 70 Charger seats for me a few years back.... turned out perfect!
I just did the floor on my Charger yesterday. I like the Eastwood Rust Encapsulator Plus:
Wire brush all the rusty areas, vacuum, degrease the floor, hit it with the Eastwood Pre-Paint aerosol, then brush it on (they also offer a spray version). I did it as a spot treatment, as there were a...
Replacement seats WILL be cheaper, when compared to buying new skins, foam, burlap, hog ring pliers, etc. They don't have to be perfect - just not destroyed.
This is a low-budget 73 Charger build (not resto)... so instead of re-skinning my crusty front buckets, I'm looking into other seats that'll be a cheap upgrade (read: springs don't poke me in the ***).
What other seats will match up to my seat rails? ...Cordoba, Satellite, post-74 Charger?
