I found a pair of 69 RR blue retractors ,in a junkyard pick box, they both work , the inner steel bracket is toast, the belts themselves are quite nice, I'm adding these for parts , same price as before.
Just keep chipping away at it as you can, even if not for a full day on a Sunday. Unfortunately, with today's junk parts, tools and even equipment, I find myself having to do things sometimes twice more and more often which always makes everything more frustrating.
Buy a sheet metal shrinker and stretcher fab up some replacement pieces using the old cut out metal as templates and weld in all new metal is the best way to go.

Eldubb440...

I think RemCharger nailed it. I removed the breather (temporarily of course), drove the car and got it up to operating temperature. Squealing is gone. I believe the breather was plugged up and not allowing fresh air to enter the crankcase. I sprayed carb cleaner into the breather and swished...
Supposedly 512, it also had the rear axle moved 2.5" forward along with the wheel wells, hence the "busy" paint job, motor setback 1", staggered wheels for greater rollout on the starting line.
All this is talk from over the years.
I am looking for 2 older Centerlines 15x7 or 15x6 very nice condition. Large bolt pattern and the back space is about 3.6"
Brushed not polished please.
Thanks,
