Both of the bumpers are shot. I tried to turn it with some pliers and it fell apart. Now how the hell do I take this out? It looks like the nut is attached and cannot be removed. Any ideas?
I was getting the opposite. When I have the 4 way switch in the down position and either turn signal on, both front marker lights would flash, but the rear taillights blinked correctly. Freakin weird.
What are the symptoms of the limit switches or the relays? I put 12 volts to the driver side door, and it worked both ways. Not so much for the passenger side. It seems like its stuck. How do I test for the relay or the limit switches?
Well, the car hasn't been on the road since 1984. I was told that the original engine was a 383, but at some point, was replaced with another 383. But all in all, its really not that bad. I cant wait to take it out and let if get up to full operation temp and hopefully flush away any dirt or...
The flasher I used only goes on one way, and the turn signals work great. I have yet to replace the 4-way flasher though, simply because I could not find it. I will have to search some more tomorrow. I'm sorta thinking it's the flasher switch, it seems to only happen when that switch is in the...
I have met the enemy, and I am there's. I gave up trying to get this stud out. I tried to drill it out, got a nice hole, but could not get a screw extractor to take it out. I know the stud probably did not break in there straight and it was a bitch trying to drill it. But I think I will glue the...
I worked on upgrading the headlights to LED and found an odd problem with the flashers. I also changed the turn signal flasher yesterday to an electronic one. I found when I have the flasher switch lever down, not pointed at flasher, and I have either the right or left turn signal on. Both front...
I do believe so yes. At least there is some
Is that what this switch is for? Was that an iption
I found the turn signal flasher. I changed it and now I sorta have turn signals. It's probably the original one. It was a small square flasher. It was made in Brooklyn N.Y. Pretty cool, that's when...
Thats a shame. I put a 4-speed automatic transmission in a 65 Impala S.S I had years ago, and it was an easy swap. I just had to cut the driveshaft and buy a different transmission cross member and use a cable setup for the kickdown. And what a difference that one gear made.
Just put one in today. Got my turn signals to work. Only thing is the left one works when it wants to, and the right one is not working at all now. When I first put in this flasher, the left turn signal was also working when the right side was on. :wtf:
