400 engine: Mix/Match flywheel and crank

He has newer external balanced internals. If he shows the other side of his flywheel that will tell the story.

Carburetor heat soak or vapor lock?

I installed a couple of things that worked great for this issue. Cool Carb (- Home) is a great spacer because it is wider so it protects the bowls from heat and its super thin (.155) so it will fit even when hood clearance is tight. I also install a fuel filter with dual outlets with one outlet...

    66 Coronet 500 Heater Case/non-AC

Far as I know 66-70 non a/c b-bodies used the same housing. Post some pictures as to what you have and what you are looking at. Make sure your car is not a 65.

Has anyone compared the top aluminum radiators for Mopars?

I started with a Champion 26” 3 row and it did not cut it. Wizard 2 row with the 1.25” tubes made the difference. Running fan, clutch, shroud and 2600 cfm of electric pusher fans to help with traffic heat soak and a/c performance.

400 engine: Mix/Match flywheel and crank

I would be concerned that the early (72) manual trans 400 may have originally had a 383 forged crankshaft and was internally balanced. Since you don’t have original crank or damper and don’t want to tear it down again, you probably should have machine shop check it out.

    So who's into tractors

Herb my old neighbour, used to own Herb 9N. Herb, the tractor, would often run crappy, and sometimes not start. Herb, the farmer bought a new Ford tractor. One day he moved all the cows and himself far away. I bought the tractor, had the same running issues, sometimes fine, sometimes crappy. It...

    U Joint Removal, Anything Special?

Getting close to things starting to go back into the Charger and I realized I have yet to rebuild the driveshaft. My last rebuild was on my '59 Chevy which had weird plastic-injected UJs that needed "burning out". Anything funky like that on these, or just remove retaining clips and press 'em...

Doing a swap and need advice

I believe u have to shorten the drive shaft 3.88 inches. I always do 4 inches even. Just to be sure measure both tranny’s and do the math. U do need the 727 yoke as well. If u have a console u will need the extension housing with the 2 mounting holes for the torque shaft. Kim

    66 Coronet 500 Heater Case/non-AC

Friends, I am having a terrible time locating a heater case for my dad's 66 Coronet 500. It is factory heat only, non-AC. I'm trying not to go Vintage Air if it can be avoided. I have looked at three now that have all stated they would fit, but do not. The cases I have looked at have...

FOR SALE A second bunch of misc Miller tools

These were removed from a Chrysler dealership. I believe these are all from the 00's, but not positive. Everything has a Miller # on it, so they can be looked up online. The kits are not complete, but still a bunch of good tools. $150 for this lot, picked up in west central WI.
