There's plenty of people renting spots in their yards for $10 or so, outside the gates. Get there early and there is usually some parking on the grounds. Or...street parking. Just be prepared to hunt for a while.
If your vehicle is even slightly interesting (and a Mopar)...register and show...
Yep. Easy-peasy today. Registered for the show, parked the truck outside gate 3, and wandered the swaps. As noted, about half the spaces were either empty or curtained...but there were some folks there selling and plenty of people buying. Humid, but not too hot (all things considered).
Another favorite of mine - people whose cars use the high beams as the daytime running lights, and they replace the bulbs with LEDs.
Here's the problem.
These systems push a lower voltage to the high beams, for DRL use. Say...8v instead of 12. This allows the bulbs to burn dimmer. Light is...
Agree 1000%.
If the gov is gonna mandate DRLs, they need to do it like motorcycles - low beams AND TAILLIGHTS come on with the ignition. None of this halfway-visible ****.
My other favorite is, high beams during the day. "For visibility". No, asshole...you're still blinding people by shining...
Taking traffic rules into the stores...walk in the right hand side of the aisle. It's where you drive. No reason for both halves of the aisle to be people going the same direction, especially when people (me) are trying to go the other way.
And if you're gonna stop and look...get the **** out...
This is brilliant.
I'll start doing the same - odd years, the 91 Daytona turbo
Even years I'll take the 70 Charger.
Renewed the tags today (dead since '23), checked the oil, fired right up, good gauges...
Shakedown cruise went well. Forgot how fun this car is, even at only 12psi boost...
My Charger rides and drives great.
Unrestored, but I did rebuild the front end and installed upsized torsion bars a couple years ago. Rides great and handles decent for a fat pig on skinny tires lol.
I do have a leaky steering box, might put a FF box on it, haven't decided yet....and one...
I may try that Thursday. Site shows it's still $30 for an event pass...and it also shows
So sounds like you can get in Thursday to browse. That may be my "truck day" lol. I'll have to ask what the upcharge is if I have an event pass and decide to show one or two days....
Word is Ozzy isn't suffering as much from the Parkinson's, as he is from botched spinal surgeries...
Watched some of the videos earlier. I think he was crying his way through "Mama, I'm coming home". Sure sounded like it to me.
Living in the area (1h away), there's a "chance of scattered showers/storms" just about every day these days. If it says "54% chance of scattered thunderstorms" that means it's a 54% chance it might rain, somewhere, in the area. Not a 54% chance that Carlisle will get wet.
There was a "chance"...
Hit a local cars n coffee for the first time. Little bit of everything - a Lambo, lots of Bugs and slug buses, bunch of vettes, mustangs, older gms and Fords, lots of imports...and 3 mopars. My Charger, a Hellcat Red-eye, and a Viper truck.
More than I expected, and a nice day to drive...
