    Lunati Hemi cams advice

I simply disagree, a lot, that the 426 hemi (solid lifter that pulled hard to 7K) acted like a small block off the line, if anything, just the opposite, 426hemis were known for their "gobs" of torque...this is from experiential knowledge of driving a '69 hemi rr, 833. The '69 GTX I have now has...

BURNOUTS, donuts and general showing off? Proper procedure??

Slow down friend, I go back to the muscle car era, my innocent days before Vietnam. I served in a high Agent Orange spray area, in 2023, three of us Vietnam vets who served in AO spray areas were diagnosed with aggressive mouth cancer during a 6-week time period, one of us did not survive. Of my...

Anyone here been zapped by a scorpion? Just want to compare notes.

Great caliber, 38 Super has been used successfully many times on the ranch, many old timers in this part of the country call it a .357mag in a 1911. :)

Anyone here been zapped by a scorpion? Just want to compare notes.

Cochise County, high desert in SE Arizona, we live at ~4500ft elevation, very scenic with our sky islands around us. Area wise, it's about the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined, population is about ~130,000 citizens, who knows how many people live here with open borders. If one...

Anyone here been zapped by a scorpion? Just want to compare notes.

I've thought the same as you, wild critters tend to look up/around during their grazing, perhaps they see things domestic animals don't pick up on. But, given the height of range grass, it's very difficult to see what's close by. I have pictures of a Mojave coiled in a tall clump of range grass...

Anyone here been zapped by a scorpion? Just want to compare notes.

This is a great question, I can only share with what I know. A few summers ago, I know of four horses that were bit while grazing, and all four received veterinarian care as quickly as possible. I don't know the treatments they received, but after about 10 days to two weeks, all four died...

Not a scorpion, "only" a neurotoxic Mojave rattler bite, from behind while in town no less.

    A little snow and ice.

I don't know what the high was in Tucson this afternoon, but it was 102F when we left at noon. We will be in the high 90s this week at 4300ft, high desert. :)

    Coolant in oil, fresh build

Many years ago we raised a sunken Chris Craft outfitted with counter rotating 413s, we used kerosene in the same procedure as you described to save the internals, but it didn't have head issues to trouble shoot. Both engines ran fine afterward.

New tires for the 69 GTX

I have 15" wheels on a '69 GTX, super track pac, 4.1 gear. http://www.wallaceracing.com/calc-gear-tire-rpm-mph.php I like this website, very helpful in choosing aftermarket OD transmissions combined with tire diameter.
