I have seen this many times, it is not critical at the moment. I'd fix it at some point but your car isn't going to fall apart if you don't. It is a good indication of how much these cars flex, a set of torque boxes and sub frame connectors will fix it not to mention make the car handle WAY better.
A bit of a wide open door there...
First thing to do is decide what you want the final product to be/look like. Do you want it stock looking but with all modern driveline or do you want it to a full on restomod with some aero added, tall wheels with skinny tires, or maybe the "field fresh"...
Thank you, I was very lucky over all and just got some road rash and a sprained ankle. My wife was with me and luckily she came off the bike on top of me and basically walked away with very minor issues (more shock than anything else). On top of all this the event occurred in front of a couple's...
Recently I hit a deer doing 30 mph on my 03 Harley Ultra Classic. I am fine and have pretty much completely healed up but now I am trying to repair the bike. I am replacing the front fender and 1 lower fairing both of which I sourced from eBay. The lower fairing is very nice and will just...
Aaron - good progress, unfortunately I cannot help you with your non-firing situation but I would caution you to not to push too hard. I know you want to hear it run, but it would suck to damage it in the process.
That assuming that the tach is wired correctly as it is now. Look at the back of the tach, there should be 1 wire leading away from it to the firewall going into the engine compartment to the coil. If that is connected along with perhaps a 12V wire (not exactly sure how it is to be connected)...
As I guessed, it was something simple.... I had it wired correctly but the ignition switch (which is a GM unit) was not making contact in the run position, thus my "switched" devices were not getting power (like the HVAC).
I investigated the map light situation and as it turns out when I was...
Found some time to delve into the Charger's wiring, I discovered that the Vintage air does in fact work but the switched 12V isn't providing power as it should, so I need to figure out why that is.
Also as I was working on it I noticed the dome and glove box light were "pulsing" and I could...
Since you asked.... The screen looks horrible IMO, everything is round and it obviously isn't not to mention it is WAY too big. But it is your car so if you like it then you are good.
Its been awhile since I posted mainly because its been awhile since I worked on the car. Since hitting the deer I've been mainly working on the Bike but I did manage to get the carpet into the Charger and roughly fitted, hopefully I can get back to it soon, I'd really like to get it further...
I've been watching a lot of videos on it and I think it is exactly what I need. Now I need to build a cart of sorts for it and the plasma cutter stuff.
Since I cannot work on the car or anything else for that matter, I decided to surf the internet any buy crap... LOL I just bought a new plasma cutter, I used to have one that I probably mentioned here but it took up too much room. This one is portable...
