Base of the a pillar is one of several places the factory used lead. That said I agree with earlier post. Make a patch panel and weld it

When I went to school to get my A&P license to work on planes they had a T-33. One of the freshman projects was to polish the a/c and do it as you were a business getting paid. Work up an estimate showing the cost for everything. Materials, and labor itemized. The best part was we got to run it...
