What are you doing? Trying to clone my car?

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

I question that number and, I will tell you why. 1st, look around, there are plenty of them for sale not bringing those kinds of numbers. 2nd., a friend of mine has a 67 Hemi 4spd Charger...real Hemi 4spd car (they made 59 of them) restored in the late 80's by him. Nice car but not perfect. Not...

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

I see lots of responses giving you opinions on what we feel its worth based on your description. The people like myself who have said it needs a lot of work left to be finished are telling you that to explain why we feel it's worth somewhere between 10k and 15k. The heavy lifting is in the body...

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

I can honestly say if he found someone to put a "show" quality paint job on that car for 14k he had better jump on it!! I do body and paint on the side and have zero overhead and I wouldn't do it for 14k. That is a lot of car to Skim, sand, sand, sand, primer, sand...

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

Someone earlier seemed to rebuke the thought that there are 100's of hours left to finish this Charger. I painted this car a couple years back and I had way over 100 hours in this car. Keep in mind this was a very clean southern California car that needed zero rust repair. Sure, there were some...

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

I was thinking around that at top dollar. Sure, there are some restored pieces and, "all" the parts are tagged and bagged but, the drivetrain to anybody looking at it had to be assumed of needing freshened up and then there is paint and body.

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

IF it was for himself he is not but, this car in question is no longer for himself. The owner would be stuck with it if they ever wanted to sell it and had a thought of trying to recoup the investment.

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

I also have the tools and knowledge to do every bit of that work myself but, try not to buy cars that far taken apart.

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

I get it but, the next person has to look at it that way. They are going to look at the amount of money they need to finish it or, at least that's how I look at these types of cars. Having one blown apart that far is always a tough sale.

What's it Worth I need help with a reasonable valuation

There is close to 100 hours just in body and paint if your doing right. That's not putting in the floors, searching for all the missing parts...lots of hours left. If you take that shell to a good body shop that specializes in restoration type work your looking at around 25k to get floors in and...

    2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

Our 2016 Jeep has the air suspension, it has 78k miles on it and so far the suspension has been trouble free. My 2017 Rebel on the other hand has been in the shop more than at home in recent months with all kinds of air suspension problems. I figure whenever I get the Rebel back if it totally...

    Odd issue with transmission leaking..

Also make sure it's not wet above the switch. The shift shaft seal will leak and run down the side and come off the nss and make it look like the nss is leaking. I have to change the nss on my Challenger about every 2 years. The 1 7/8 TTI headers are so close to it I think the heat is killing...

I have never gone, My wife and I pulled in the parking lot of my 5th year reunion, saw all the ladies in like ball dresses and the dudes in Tuxedos and, Nope not for me. Why go drink beer with people who thought they were too good to drink beer with me in school. I hung out with a few people in...

    The "Other" Mopar.... E bodies...

I have had B bodies in the past and still hang around here. I currently own a 71 Challenger and a 75 360 Duster. I will agree with the ride is not as nice as an A, B, or C body. My E body has super stock springs and Hemi torsion bars in it and it is super stiff but, the fun of the 512 in it...
