My hobby ever sice I was a kid ( off and on )
Since retirement , Ive got back into them
Currently doing a Sox Martin Superbird AND the Bud Fauble 1965 AFX Dodge
My sincere condolences on your loss, When a pet passes it rips your heart out.
We had to put a dog down about 10 years ago or so . 1st time in my life Ive had to make that decision and it was hands down the toughest decision Ive ever had to make . But with bone cancer slowly taking him. It was...
Looked at this car today.
Real solid overall. Worst part the vinyl top was removed and left as it was. So the roof has some heavy surface rust on it. IMO take a media blaster to it and it would be fine. I didnt see anything that made me think it would go thru the metal
Arizona sun has taken...
I met a couple in Tucumcari NM last year ( mid Aug ) That was driving their 1957 Chevrolet across RT 66. ALL of it from Chicago to the CA coast and BACK. They gave them themselves 2 months to do it.
Only driving maybe 300-400 miles a day, if that. Stopping in interesting locations spend to the...
Thats another thing. These panels are not flat. There is a prominent angle in them at dead center from side to side

or dead center where the GTX emblem is attached
I've yet to see any redone panels that got that area right . OEM said ribs were quite tall compared to either redone or Metros...
Incorrect info . No Mopar disc brake master cyl ever had a bolt down lid like the one Dan posted * exception is the single pot system on 1966 and older systems
The one shown IS a 1967-1970 Drum brake master cylinder.
1971 and later used a lid hold down bale wire like the disc brake MC does.
I would love to do it. But dont think I could now. Unless it was updated to some modern convivences. AC would be a HUGE requirement IMO.
I would love to do it in my 66 Satellite. But it would all depend on time of year and the route. Across country to either Carlisle or the Nats would be brutal...
You already know my thoughts
But congrats are due either way. I knew you had been looking for a car for a while.
But having been somewhat of a closet fan of the 66-67 cars since I drove a friend of mines 67 GTX back in early 90s
When I bought my '66 in 2020
It had come down to two cars. The...
