I have a set of road wheels off my 68 charger that I have no use for anymore. They are driver quality with trim rings, missing one center cap. Asking $200 and local pick up preferred in Morgan Hill, Ca 95037

Didn’t check the old distributor. I was so annoyed with that thing I just tossed it in the corner. I had planned on changing all the cheap ignition over to msd eventually.

New distributor and all is good now. I would have never guessed distributor.

Update: Installed new msd coil no change. Adjusted timing to 18* no change. I did notice that when the motor was cold it didn’t die but once it warmed up it would start to die again. Ordered a new msd distributor so I can ditch the Chinese knock off mp electronic ignition

It is some sort of generic mp electronic ignition.

Thanks for the replies. I don’t know the specs of cam or converter but I’m sure they are fairly stock as the rest of the car is very stock. I’ll throw a new coil in today and possibly a distributor if the coil doesn’t help. I set the timing in neutral at 12* I had it at 15* originally and backed...

No real idea. Po bought it from the original owners but he didn’t seem like he knew much about it. It sounds healthy when running in neutral.

That’s why I’m on here. Lol it’s crossed my mind a few times to yank that motor and throw the 440 in that’s sitting in the corner.

I’m out of ideas so I’m turning to the knowledge of this forum for help. 68 charger 383 auto idling at 850 drops to 500-600 rpms eventually dies if no throttle is added. Installed a 750 street demon since old carter was leaking from everywhere. Checked for vacuum leaksby spray contact cleaner...
