My wife said I skipped town.....

That's a great song! It describes the early years of my marriage perfectly! The Chargervert is named Sara because that's who the wife thought the other woman was while I was building the car! The other woman was the car!

Awesome Carlisle trip and a real surprise.

My apologies for my late response here, but congratulations on your very well deserved 1st place Berkeley! Your car is definitely worthy of it from pictures I seen. I hope you got “the hell outta Dodge” (with pun intended) before the rain started to come down with that big dark cloud behind you...

    Flat Orange General Lee? Opinions.

Do you realize that we're in a very small percentile of the non wing camp. Like 2%. Most every damn Mopar '71 and up has a wing on it and then you'll see some random 2nd gen B Bodies with a wing on it. Even E Bodies and A Bodies. Nice to have someone in my camp, thanks. To the OP, sorry for the...

    Understanding Thermostat Temps

I run a 160 thermostat, mopar performance pump (seems identical to a stock one, just aluminum), stock radiator (but might have been altered to 4 core, I believe stock was 3), stock fan and shroud, and fan clutch (I might remove the clutch). Also have the all in timing set to 35 degrees. Pretty...

    Overheating issue

When you say swirling around, is it not doing that at idle? Or just at throttle?

    Any ideas on this issue??

Yes, no change. It sounds like the squealing is towards the front as if it's the front carb making the noise.

1968 Dodge Charger Fuel Sending Unit

The line(s) going to the sending unit will be 5/16". Vent tube is more like 3/4". Look under your car. Are there one, or two, "fuel hoses" going to where the sending unit would be (center vehicle, in front of the rear axle)? That will tell you if you need one for, or without, a return line.

    Radiator

I have one of those in my 70 GTX and it fit perfect. You can't even tell it's aluminum from just looking at the top and front. Factory shroud bolted right on.

Who's B-body is that? Claim it! Carlisle 2025

https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/attachments/1885538/ I can't remember the Gentlemen's name who owned the Dark green 74 Roadrunner/GTX next to me, but he bought it new. He made several cool upgrades over the years including 6-Pack EFI, Gearvendors 727...he and his wife came all the way...

    383 engine noise cylinder 5

most of these mopar guys, first thing they do is rip the 383 out out of their cars and spend a fortune building a 440. you should be able to pick and choose a good 383 forged crank base motor for dirt cheap. try posting a Wanted Ad here in the forum.
