...was in the way of the vacuum canister. I'd asked for suggestions but don't know if anyone has ever done one.
It's going to be tight.
One thing I pick up a few weeks ago were some wheel dollies. Makes it nice to move the car around the garage.
More updates to follow - it's getting...
Looks pretty gnarled. Not sure what tools you have access to but hammer and dollies will get you started but you may need a stud gun if it's over the fender brace.
Cut and replace maybe the only option if it's stretched out.
Think I understand what you're saying......but sounds like a pita lol
Don't have any dollies but wouldn't hurt to get some. And just took a look at where the valve stem is and it's at 9 o'clock if you're looking at the right side rear wheel and there's room enough to get to it with an air hose...
see i dont even know what all of these tools are used for. im pretty sure theres some kind of magic that goes along with these things.
does anyone know of a good book or site where i can learn the skills the correct way?
Was there a factory rear bar 68-70?
Get some harbor freight mover's dollies for $8 each with the coupon.
3 should work- one for the center chunk area, and one for each brake drum area.
Stack some 4x4 sections to get the right height.
I always find uses for those things and at $8 the price...
sad thing is you never have enough body hammers dollies body picks and files plus you have to make and modify them in the automotive trade you are always buying and upgrading tools same goes for the painters
Would require all 4 corners and a level floor. I find a L square, protector and pointer to be more accurate than using a level.
Small square 12x6 tape the protector to it. Install pointer at zero long enough to read angle. I remove the wheel bearing dust cover and set the square on the machined...
...better luck than others. Then again some people look for reasons to complain. I'm just glad they reproduce the sheet metal in any form. Whether that be too big or too small. Imagine pounding this **** out with a hammer and dollies.. Good luck with your AMD sheet metal. This was not a dig on...
If you want it to roll with some weight on it don't go cheap. See my review on FBBO and all the reviews on YouTube before you buy cheap wheel dollies.
I did a lot of research on these and GoJac seem to be the best. However, most people just use these for moving a body around without much...
I forgot about the dollies and hand trucks - cheapest in town and very good quality.
When I was in Sears the other day getting a few things missing from my old, made in USA craftsman tool sets, the guy at the counter said to beware of the craftsman sold at Lowes - its not the same company...
That’s kind of funny, they used to be in Plainfield Indiana. (West side of Indy) I drove over there and bought one from them in 2006. Evidently the rights have been sold a few times. I first saw them at the GoodGuys show that they used to have at Raceway Park. One of the best, in my opinion.
There is a company here in southern Indiana that makes body dollies and rotisseries called Auto Twirler. I see them on the car restoration shows all the time. They are actually right down the road from me outside a neighboring town called Gosport Indiana. Depending on where you are in Illinois...
...and in bay #1 was a gorgeous black mid 70's magnum with a 440 in it. In bay #2, a completely tore apart 69 1/2 super bee in primer on wheel dollies. We talked for quite a few hours, he expressed to me what the m code bee meant to him. We had the same love for this vehicle and I promised to...
