My dad traded his 42 Chevy Aero fleetline (first year of the fastback)in, for an almost new....... Renault Dauphin. (I think he was probably unemployed at the time). What a pile of, well, you know. He spent many years in his later life, looking for a 42 fastback to replace his.
Now, considering...
I schedule my trips between Arizona and California at different times. CA to AZ, I try to start somewhere between 1am and 2 am. Moderate traffic on I-10 and I-15, next to nothing on I-40 but pro truckers. Last trip had a bit of white knuckles, with some heavy mist and fog up the pass, but not...
Times have changed some.....
I carried a scout knife every day in high school. I bought it for a dime, at one of my mom's church rummage sales. Carried it all four years. Carried it for at least two years before I found out it was a GIRLscout knife! (Do girlscouts still have knives?)
It shouldn't be expensive for the procedure, but I'll bet set-up time makes it so. Plus, if the crank is assembled in an engine, a cheaper, easier, just as effective shortcut is welcome.
Probably just me, but I like the red one on the bottom. I was over wheelcovers and whitewalls fifty years ago, and a maxwedge car with those bicycle tires on the back just don't get it done.
Glad you found em Ed. When I misplace my pocket knife it drives me nuts, even though I have five others to choose from. But there's no sentimental attachment like yours have.
Reminds me of James Garner in a bar in a western movie, asking for a sassparilla, "you know, Sodie pop!"
(Support your local sheriff/gunfighter, don't remember which).
If I tell my girlfriend to get me a drink from the fridge, I'll tell her to get me a cola, or root beer, or a soda, cause that's what is says on the can, and the box the cans come from! Orange SODA, grape SODA, strawberry SODA.
A little too much money, I think. I thought the 66/67 street hemis are most common/least desirable?
(But clearly, anybody buying that kind of car for that amount is using play money, so whats a few extra thousand $$$ ?)
First "muscle car"? Biggest, most powerful engine, with multiple carbs, stuffed in the lightest body?
1938 Buick Century. Multi carb roadmaster engine. 1957 Rambler Rebel also fits, except for multiple carbs. Fastest 1957 four door sedan. Or two door. (Only the feulie corvette was faster).
I think the only difference is if the pilot hole for the manual trans is drilled or not. Balance weight could also be different depending on pistons, magnum or not.
Grudge match?
Miami has put 70 on the Broncos, and maybe more. If they get a field goal at the end, they'll set an NFL record (currently 72)
Broncos are down 50 points. Question is:Why is EITHER starting qb still in this game?
8 3/4 is a Hotchkiss, ( along with early chevy 10 bolt, 55-64, and 9"ford), 7 1/4, 8 1/4, 9 1/4 and Dana 60 (and 12 bolt chevy, and 8.8 ford) are Salisbury rears.
