I got the cam from Bob Karakashian. Really nice guy! Told him how I was building the engine and he said, "Yep, I'll get you a cam that will idle super smooth and have more torque and horsepower than almost any other cam out there." At twice the price... But, he doesn't give out any cam specs...
I was really tempted to use the Eastwood stuff as I want to do as much work as possible myself. But, a few things got farmed out. I hope yours stay looking great!
So, now I'm looking at this thing. I've got a 1969 18-spline and 1970 case and tailhousing to put it into. After a bit of playing around with it I have a pretty good idea of how it works! Looks like it spent a bit of time getting jambed into reverse. But, my novice eyes don't see much wrong.

Well, hey! these things worked great! It's a bit better than straight out of the manifolds. It cost $200 to get these made up and I didn't want to put any more money into it. So, it was loud!! sounded great!
Woo hoo!! I finally got this engine fired up! It got pretty hot and blew the top radiator hose off so I had to shut it down after about 10 minutes. Ran it again the next day for another 15 minutes without any issues. Man, when that hose blow it soaked **** 20 feet away in my garage! Had I been...
This **** is definitely nerve wracking! It's the first engine I've ever built from a bare block. Nothing stock about it inside but looks stock outside except for ARP head bolts and stealth heads.
