    1966 Charger Steering Column Rebuild

Once the switch is out you can remove the upper column bearing. there is a rubber cover / seal that goes around the bearing and seats it in the upper column housing. There is a snap ring on the top side of the bearing and a half ring circlip on the bottom side Once the bearing is off you are...

heat or no heat for the intake

I think pretty much all the aftermarket aluminum heads for a BBM don’t have any exhaust heat crossover passage. Nor do most of the “better”(higher hp) newer intake manifolds. The intermittent lack of power being attributed to insufficient manifold heat doesn’t really make sense to me.

Vapor-Locking... the bane of my existence.

I used a Carter P4600HP electric pump. Mounted it back at the tank(1964 ply savoy). I originally intended to only use it to prime or if I had a vapor lock issue. However I quickly found out that my mechanical pump ( a Carter as well) would not pull thru the electric pump unless it was on. I...

727 won't go into park. B/U, neutral switch?

I finally got back to it. I dropped the trans pan and could see the rooster comb working fine and the light switch was not interfering at all. I watched it select all positions park to low. With the E brake on so the tires can't rotate it still makes the ratchet sound in park and stalls, it runs...

46RE Direct Clutch Clearance?? Tight or loose?

I'm rebuilding a 46re for my hemi swap and I'm ready to put the direct clutch back in but I'm a little stuck on what the clearance should be. The mopar virtual classroom training module says the direct clutch clearance should be between .095"-.165". A little loose but it is important, especially...

    Flat Orange General Lee? Opinions.

I agree with you on the door scoops on 70 Charger R/T's. That is my least favorite thing about 70 R/T's. I own two 70 Chargers and do prefer them without. However, they have grown on me since one of them i have owned it 37 years now & the other almost 20 years.
