Most of us in the corn belt states have E-85 all over. I like as a drag race fuel. But on a longer trip with a higher compression engine? The downside is more frequent gas station stops. But still cheaper option. I would certainly map trip and inquire on availability. It maybe AV is easier to...
These are VERY good counter examples of muscle car description. But the Max Wedge Savoy/Belvedere. The 421 Super Duty Catalina does differ from what I believe is the first true muscle car of the 1964 GTO. And that's being there were lower performance options. Hell, they had 6 cyl 4-door options...
The RB block was too high a deck height for its standard stroke. B block was too low stroke for Chrysler BB in heads up competition vs Chevy in stock format. And of course the Gen II hemi was under cammed for the head flow potential.
Chrysler shines in the fact Mopar BBs had more room to grow...
It's no secret that the pistol grip wasn't the best performance shifter. Even back in the day a Comp + and certainly a Vertigate had faster and shorter throws.
It's entirely about cool factor. And on a street car that doesn't need to trim a 1/10th second? I would live fine with it.
I remember watching I Dream of Jennie as a young boy. And looking down at my baby crotch and ask "What the hell is going on here?" So very possibly the first to give me some "Impure thoughts?"
Nothing has altered my life more than my desires of the opposite sex. Both good and bad. So hopefully...
If you can get sound difference vid of both Manifolds and TTI headers? That would be cool. And helpful. We shouldn't kid ourselves that "Sound" is not important.
For a street cruiser? Manifolds. You're really not going to get that much of a boost with headers on a stock/near stock 383. HP Manifolds flow pretty good. Max Wedge Manifolds will all but match header performance on street builds.
That's how good Mopar Manifold design and flow numbers produce...
Its funny how times have changed. I started my work career as a gas jockey at a local Sinclair station. And I would be asking to help folks. Most just wanted gas and be in their way. It's opposite today. People want far more service then they bought.
I sold a 69 RoadRunner some 7 years back...
I believe nothing wakes up a B-block than a RB 3.75 crank. Lower profile pistons needed. But 500 HP no problem. Even a pump gas build.
I believe the 383 goes to a 432 build at .030 over bore?
JMO.
He had a wealth of Abody knowledge. Not to mention engine design and tuning skills for performance builds. When talking small blocks? He was one you definitely took notes.
Will be missed.
RIP.
No. It has not occurred to anyone rational. Milton has been tracked as a tropical depression for weeks. And the bathwater temperatures of the gulf is what fueled its explosion in intensity.
It's looking as the Tampa area is going to take a direct hit. I hope all takes this very seriously. I...
I broke a motor mount dumping clutch with my high-school '66 GTO. I noticed right away that shifter was moving from side to side depending on torque of engine. So on the street I've been pretty lucky.
At the drag strip? As the Italian guys say. "Forget about it!"
