    IIRC…I believe the inside dimension of the of the pump housing (water pump mounting surface to inside rear wall) was too large thus locating the impeller of the pump too far from the rear wall of the housing. Apparently that created a misdirection of flow with all that space behind the impeller...

    Carburetor heat soak or vapor lock?

    The air cleaner is dropped down. Any lower and it will interfere with linkage. You can make out the impression in the hood mat.

    Switch is different yes, but the wiring harness is the same unless I’m remembering that wrong?

    Again, the FSM is the source for information. Refer to the PCV ( Positive Crankcase Ventilation ) system to see what it is and what it does.

    The car has a transferable registration. There are no titles in NY before 1973. Not sure if it is his name or the previous owner. Im sure he can easily transfer it to his name if need be.     Congratulations @Black_Sheep. Another 3 years, 64 days and the rest of day before I become eligible. We'll see what it looks like when I get there, before I pull the trigger. But I'm glad it'll be an option. Folks in my circle who are retired say they don't know how they ever had time to work...

    Mancini Racing has a 2 piece fan shroud for a 22" Radiator. I had to do a little modification, but it works! MRE - Radiator Fan Shroud
