    1968 DODGE CORONET500 TAIL PANEL

Thank you for the recommendation. The panel itself is actually in good shape with the exception of the hole so I'd prefer to fix it vs. taking on the restoration of the complete panel.

    1968 DODGE CORONET500 TAIL PANEL

I'm looking for either guidance on how to repair a hole that was drilled into the tail panel of my 1968 Coronet500. The person doing the body work said that because it's aluminum, it can't be fixed with metal work,

68 Coronet: "Brakes" light on dash

The brakes feel fine. I did put in a new booster but I’m not feeling any negative changes and the fluids aren’t leaking

68 Coronet: "Brakes" light on dash

I was able to unplug the one off the valve and the light does go off. When i engage the parking brake, the light does come on, so the problem is now isolated to the actual braking system or switch that's on the valve.

68 Coronet: "Brakes" light on dash

Ok, I haven’t yet gotten into it to try and disconnect the 2nd step. Unfortunately I was misled by someone that the light served no mechanical purpose beyond the parking brake so he clearly gave me bad information. I’ll try and get under it in the morning to unplug it and see if the light...

68 Coronet: "Brakes" light on dash

Ok, got it. That provides a good amount of detail. So, is there anything wrong with me just unplugging the wire if I have no intention of using the parking brake?

68 Coronet: "Brakes" light on dash

Yeah, tried lifting the parking brake pedal and also pulled the wire from it and the damn light is still on. Here are the pictures. The weird part is that when the parking brake is fully up, the whole assembly moves with the wire in it.

I tried lifting the brake pedal and there isn't any play to do so. signs point to the parking brake switch?

68 Coronet: "Brakes" light on dash

So my "Brakes" light on my dash mysteriously came on. I believe the only sensor in the car is for the parking brake and is a switch/button that turns the light on/off depending on the position of the emergency brake, is that correct? Should the switch be universal for a Plymouth or Dodge...

VIN Decode Question (AX). 1968 Coronet

Thank you! That is what I was looking for. will 3.55 take it too far and limit the upside? I haven't ruled out upgrading the cam and would be happy to keep the 318 if I can get more out of it but seem to be running out of ideas. I think the gears and posi will make a huge difference.

VIN Decode Question (AX). 1968 Coronet

Thanks guys.... looks like i've got the dreaded 2.76. I figured this was the case as it's a slug off the line but sails pretty nicely at 90 on the freeway. I want to put a posi rear end in and move to maybe a 3.55 or 3.73, any suggestions? I drive it pretty much every day but would like a...
