Title pretty much sums it up. I got a 66/67 383 complete , never torn down. Trans is still bolted to it, the way I bought it. Had a gent contact me about selling it. What's a rebuilder & trans worth? Btw, 2bbl carb, non HP engine.
Okay after replying from an ignorant state of mind I decided to go look at my 69' C-body 8 3/4 and I see exactly what you mean and exactly what your talking about. Now all I gotta do is find the distribution block that bolts to the diffy housing.
Thank you GTX 6979 and Thank you dad'bee. I'll...
I'll add this while I'm at it. Personally I feel like this is a mistake for AMD because of the growing popularity of the 73' & 74' Satellites & Roadrunners. Now I seen a picture of 1 that a gent put a 72 half/full quarter on and the body line discrepancy. I couldn't live with that. The only way...
I talked to AMD and they told me unless I was willing to buy a lot of them they wouldn't be repopping any quarter panels for the 73'/74' Satellite/Roadrunners. Not a huge demand , why should they tool up for something it'd take them 20 years to break even on.
Allow me to interrupt; F,M,J body= B-body diffys and you'll need to replace the alignment pin and drill the spring pad. Perches are about 1" narrower so each spring comes in about 1/2" . They work great.
Jumpin in here with this. Years ago I was told running anything other that solid lifters was a waste of time. Said Hydraulic lifters float out to easily. Anyone care to prove validity or falsehood?
Alright Kern. First off it wasn't his idea, it was mine so we'll get that out of the way now. All I wanted to know is if it would work, or possible. Now then. If I had asked " you " ( which I did not ) if this would work, I wouldn't throw you under the bus either. Okay!
