Well dang it I'm back again with another question. Tried to pull the shaft out and can get to wiggle up a little but not release. Does the engine have to be turned to move the cam teeth to release it? I have some long nose vise grips on the rim of the shaft and they keep coming off.
This is a stock Oliver with a Detroit diesel, I believe 2-cycle diesel. Can’t imagine being in the field with this 8-10 hours a day. Apparently you have to these maxed out as they have a hard time recovering. I go every year to watch this tractor. Hurts your ears.
I bought this 64 Oliver 550 Diesel 15 years ago to grade my non county maintained road. Z-split it 10 years ago and re-sleeved it and went from 145ci to 155ci because they no longer make the smaller version kit. All new clutch, throw out bearing and all seals. Oliver had a Dealership in Marianna...
I married a farmers daughter. The John Deere memorablia around the house is real. I would like an old tractor, but my brother in law will not cut loose with one of the 20 antique tractors around the farm.
Coolest one is the 1929 Case model A with a 500ci 4 cyl.
Then there's the Case twins...
OEM parts.
Believe they're out of a 68 Satellite, but not sure if 2 door, 4 door or post car or what they fit.
Part #'s LOD45-1 & LOD49-1.
$55.00 plus the ride from 60102.
I braved the heat to run up and down the boulevard a couple times and parked it. Dry afterwards as usual. See what happens over the next couple of days.
I hope the offending Golfer found his ball and played the lie. Otherwise, the two-stroke penalty would definitely be in play.
Or if the ball was found in the car when in the next city, the ball was probably Out of Bounds.
