I went and checked my color book. 66-67 have different formula numbers.
Of course, 68 is one year also.
What threw me in this thread was calling dark green, sequoia green, which is a Chyrsler name. I looked through my formula data base for all names of GG in 66 and 67. Found none.
I have been the auto body caretaker of a GG1 68 GTX for almost 40 years.
The offset (same as) color is Porsche code 22L Oak Green.
Go look for a color chip for that and compare. I think you will like it.
Most colors have a doppleganger.
The problem is old colors were never updated into...
I married a farmers daughter. The John Deere memorablia around the house is real. I would like an old tractor, but my brother in law will not cut loose with one of the 20 antique tractors around the farm.
Coolest one is the 1929 Case model A with a 500ci 4 cyl.
Then there's the Case twins...
I hate to be that guy, but I am that guy.
People come to me after they do it wrong.
You have no compression. Summit?
Don't go to a counter person for performance advice.
From their info...screenshot
They say it works best with 9.0 compression and higher. You got 8.2 on a good day.
340 and...
Oldest trick I have,
Unscrew the plate, hammer the concave hole flatter, reinstall.
You minght not be able to screw the 3 attaching screws all the way after if you overdo it.
This is a very nice set of original set of Charger reverse lights. They have the curve to fit the rear panel. Part number ends in 453
Sorting through my 69 plymouth parts, and these didn't fit right.
Bulb sockets float in and out nice. They have not been lubed.
One inside is factory galvanize...
Food for thought. Early pre 69 318 have a higher compression than 72 up.
The OP's 73 is advertised at 8.2, and probably lower.
A static compression test might answer alot.
My bet is cranking comp is 120 psi
Unless you bump compression, stay with a 252° duration.
Look in the RV selection by cam manufacturers.
Nothing worse than too large of cam making NO power.
I drink because I'm having fun, working on cars. Not hidng it, no excess.
Nothing to run from, no sorrow, don't hate anyone.
Come on by, I'll pour one.
Rallye dash, and for 70.
Comes with the light, and a really nice lighter, but who smokes in their car?
Yeah, its one year only and different that standard model.
I'm going to ask $150 as it's pretty nice.
I resisted fluffing out the ashtray, as you might have different ideas how to do it than...
I've been following along as I have extra ashtrays.
They are all the same width, and the 68, 69 rally, non rally, interchange between each other and all hinge mounts.
So what am I missing?
The wife, dog and I have taken our car on many long trips.
One was 4400 miles. We were home for 2 weeks and did a second for over 2500.
Including going through the desert to vegas in summer at 100°
Alternator failed in oregon. But then the alternator failed in my big truck, 83 D350, taking a...
Ok folks, it's an un-winable situation.
Is it only me, or is that a non mopar steering box.
I don't know what a Borgeson box looks like, but I've seen and worked on plenty of mopar.
Now that he posted a picture, that looked wrong from the first glance.
We have to think outside the (mopar) box!
You have a universal aftermarket holley, which is fine/good.
You need the mopar linkage attachment that bolts to the holley bellcrank to get the ratio correct. And to align the linkage centerline.
Both belt grooves appear to be the same width. I grabbed a new 1/2" belt for pictures.
I am not a hemi expert, but I thought they ran a 3/8" belt on the power steering , but in a 1/2" crank pulley groove.
Maybe someone will add ibfo.
