Here is some pics of a 340 with SpeedMaster heads and an LD340 intake. Had to take .031 off the intake to have it sit where we wanted it. I’ll find more pics. Last 2 pics is b4 we milled the intake. Kim
Another possibility: the rear piston in the m/c has to close off the inlet port [ it feeds into the reservoir ] before any pressure is developed. Some m/cs have an internal adjustment for this in the rear piston. If the piston has to travel a long way before the seal blocks this port, then there...
I do not understand how it can have a 'pick up'....but not be electronic ign [ Post #1 ]. Maybe it is a Pert dist with a module inside? If so & the module is HEI based, it may need a filter [ below] if the tach was designed for use with a points dist.
