I am curious if there is a need to sand primer before topcoat. I have had many parts and the engine bay in primer for a few weeks. Is there a "window" with primer or can I simply clean and shoot or do I need to create new mechanical adhesion???

Yes. You can barely see in the pic of the top side. Just to the left of the refer handle as well as a spot on the under side the is about the size of a nickel.

I am at the same point. It looks like there is 1 rivet in each of the 2 corners where the glass is mounted. I think I see a plastic rivet/block on each end of the glass mounting the glass to the back of frame. I am thinking those rivets need removed so the frame will come apart and the plastic...

Hey Jimmy, Past issues like this I have welded studs and used a dent puller. It will be hard to get it perfect, but the results would be better than a new skin IMHO.
