    Relay for ignition.

At the resistor the side with blue and brown needs to go to the coil so when key is in crank it will have power. The single blue wire provides power with key in run position. So you need to connect the two together for car to start and run.

Could someone explain how air shocks work to a newbie? And possibly how to adjust them?

Tony, It looks like you have some leftover hardware on that car. The air fitting by the license plate goes into a tee fitting and from there two lines branch off, one line goes to each shock. You can follow the lines to confirm that. The corroded fitting under your bumper looks like it did the...

Crappy cars that have become classics.

I just had this conversation with my friend Bob at our annual pilgrimage to the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. Bob is the guy who sold me my namesake "Baby Blue" in 1983. He was a third generation Chevy guy, who bought the '68 GTX from a co-worker of his father's in 1974. He ran the car at...

What did I do wrong here (HEI Conversion)

See Post 111 and 114. The 1.5 ohm coil is too much for the HEI module, the 0.32 coil was too little. I needed a coil that was between 0.5 and 0.7. It's been working fine since for more than 1000 miles. My backfire was unrelated. I have since put new heads on, and the car runs great. The...

I figure I have 20 more years if I'm lucky, and 30 if I'm not so yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll make it through. With no children of my own I'm less worried than most, but I still worry for all the future generations.

    Difficult warm/hot start

I've been working on this problem and think I've got is solved. I appreciate all the input and apologize for not keeping you in the loop. Bottom Line: I had put in a mechanical battery disconnect that added 3 additional places for bad connection or restrictive amperage. I still don't know...
