Thanks....there is a template available (metal & cardboard) to get the exact placement & size of the holes to be drilled. I found a dude in CA that has one, I sent him the money, but 6 months later I haven't received the template.

It appears you may have over tightened the oil pan bolts....very easy to do.

The ball & trunion has nothing to do with your ATF leak. I would replace the transmission tail shaft bushing & a new seal, slso check for wear on the driveshaft flange going into your transmission.

What year model does your parts manual cover?

1965 Belvedere I, 2 door preferably a factory 4-speed car.

It's my understanding that the 1963 and 1964 Max-Wedge cars, had a decal in the glove box stating the car was equipped with 426 performance engine, no warranty etc etc. My question: Where exactly was this decal placed in the glove box?
