I picked up a set of AMD door hinges to replace the worn out one's on my 71 Road Runner while at at Carlisle. I was planning to paint them before installation. The hinges appear to be plated/galvanized. What's the best way to prep them so the paint will adhere properly.

If you have a single line and one side is lower than the other, something else is causing your lean to one side. Weighting the high side is not the ideal solution. You haven't mentioned checking the pressure at the 2 nipples. Check them then equalize the pressure and see if the car is level. If...
