It came with and still has front disc brakes. I have had to change out the master cylinder since that photo.
Changing the spark plug under that brake booster is a real thrill.....takes the perfect length extension with a u-joint and a gripper socket.....
Sure enough- I bought it from an individual from Greensburg or Columbus Indiana, who said he purchased a collection of six muscle cars from a widow that would only do a package deal. He had to buy six cars to get the couple of cars he wanted.
There was a 1996 application for title in the glove...
Just for fun, I just went to the Wisconsin BBB website and looked up GTS. It is worse than I thought. They have an "F" rating, and it is full of horror stories just like yours and mine. And they have not been responding to complaints.
Not good....
I never in twenty months ever talked to anyone but a lady- never to GG. It was the most frustrating experience I have ever had.
I'm serious- go online to the Wisconsin BBB and file a complaint. That is what they are for. After I did, GTS was calling ME- THAT DAY- wanting to resolve the problem...
Gee Carl, you just need to have a little more patience...... You could get the runaround for twenty months like I did.
However, when your patience runs out, do this- Go online and file a complaint with the Wisconsin BBB.
It was easy, rewarding, and it was kind of FUN!!! Good luck!
I appreciate your input. I'm sure the engine has been out of the car before, and whether it is the original block or not is anybodies guess. It sounds like the consensus is that it is probably not. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it either way. The car is 51 years old after all, but it is...
I am sure the engine has been out of the car. After I got it, I was going to adjust the valve lash clearances because being a 1967 model it should have solid lifters. I discovered it now has hydraulic lifters and I am sure the cam is not exactly stock. VERY little vacuum at idle. Also, has more...
If the "B" stamped in the block is for the model year of the car that the engine is going into, and not the year the engine was manufactured, you very well could be right. But how would they know in January of 1966 that the engine would be going into a 1967 model year car? And this 1967 model...
I own a 1967 GTX with a 426 Hemi. It is a documented original Hemi car with a 4-speed. I want to believe that the engine is original to my car, but have been told that it is not. According to paperwork I have, the ship date of the car is 11-4-1966. The pad on the front of the engine block has a...
I sent GTS a check for $223 in January 2015. I was jerked around, lied to and ignored for a year and a half until I finally filed an online complaint with the Wisconsin BBB in July 2016. Finally got my order. Save yourself a lot of grief and forget doing business with these people.
I am glad for you that it only took 6 months to get your Galen Tag Service verification. You must have more stroke than I do. It took me TWENTY MONTHS to get my "official" Galen Govier verification, and that was after filing two written complaints with the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau. Galen...
Back to the subject of Galen's Tag Service... Having filed two complaints with the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau, I am ineligible to write a "review" of this business on the Wisconsin BBB website. However, if there are other customers of this "business" that have NOT filed a written...
