    NEW MOTOR MOUNTS

To continue the thread on my experience I will say the NAPA part fit well (photo below) and dimensions were similar to the original as far as I could tell. For anyone else looking the NAPA Part# is 602-1118.

    Stock Vacuum Advance Needed

Appreciated! I didn't know about them but found the facebook page (Joe’s Mopar Distributor Restoration | Facebook) I also just recently learned about FBO, who also seem to specialize in these distributors (FBO Ignition - Home of the HRR688) The more I search the more I learn these single point...

    Stock Vacuum Advance Needed

Thank you that's good to have you've had that experience. If I go that route I'll keep it mind. It's hard to tell what the specs are on these things from some websites so not even sure where to look up that information. I haven't actually got into tuning but just looking to match whatever stock...

    Stock Vacuum Advance Needed

Hello All, I've scoured the web looking for a part that seems to be obsolete and before going ahead with a re-pop at $50+ I thought I would post this. I have a single point ignition distributor on my 440 (1968 dated block) I am trying to repair vs. replace. The distributor number inside the...

    NEW MOTOR MOUNTS

I appreciate you posting this because I've run into the same issue and didn't know if I had a bad part or the wrong part since my Charger has a 440 motor (origin unknown) instead of the original 383. The new mounts I purchased from a vendor at Carlisle turn out to be Westar part #EM-2250 and I...

How does linkage connect to transmission?

That's good to know thanks for the tip - I've had to use bronze bushings and spacers before on my Holly setup so I'll keep that in mind. There is a great video from '71 on adjusting the linkage I just found today: Chrysler Master Tech - 1971, Volume 71-2 Shift Quality and Linkage Adjustment

How does linkage connect to transmission?

Thank you I really appreciate the offer. I just received the dorman kit #41017 but I don't think it will work because the largest diameter is 1/4" and I think the rods are larger than that. I'm actually heading down to work on the car tomorrow and will measure and confirm. I may take you up on...

How does linkage connect to transmission?

Thats a great link - thanks for sending it, I only recently discovered mega parts and they have been a great resource. Didn't know they had LH and RH versions too so that's good info to keep on hand.

How does linkage connect to transmission?

Thank you both - I think i’m headed in the right direction now. I see an assortment of ‘linkage clips’ sold by dorman that looks similar to what you described (Dave6T4) here I may try that assortment before drilling the end or hunting online for the correct part. Always learning something new...

How does linkage connect to transmission?

I’m working on my 67 Charger (383 originally) that has a 69 440 in it. The car has no history or originalily so hard to tell what’s setup correctly. The kick down linkage is what I need help with. There are basically 3 connected rods that link up using two swivel brackets creating an a “Z”...

    A bird in the hurricane

I saw that too! Photos: This is what Florida looks like after Hurricane Ian .. lots of valuable property damaged, obviously nothing important compared to the tragic loss of life, but seeing that flipped over was surreal.

    Liland Global Fuel Tank Experience?

Just a quick update for anyone considering the Liland Global tanks from Rock Auto. I will say the the tank is not packaged well (just thrown in a regular cardboard box with a few strips of bubble wrap) so it arrived with a damaged corner. To Rock Auto's credit they sent a replacement once I...

    Liland Global Fuel Tank Experience?

Regarding Van's fuel tanks I was told they are made in Tiawan (Same as Liland). They do offer a great deal on their stainless tank but the best deal on a galvanized steel tank I could find was at Rock Auto so I’ll post an update on the installation and quality in a few weeks.

T Good to know. I think only time will tell with these things. I went ahead and ordered a galvanized Liland tank from RockAuto and I'll post an update here once it arrives and I've had a chance to install.

    Liland Global Fuel Tank Experience?

I didn’t realize that about JC Whitney I haven’t actually shopped with them but thought they were reputable having been around so long. I actually linked to their site because I couldn’t get the URL to the same tank sold by Rock Auto (where they offer free shipping) to work but they sell the...

    Liland Global Fuel Tank Experience?

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take another look at Vans’ tanks and given a call. They didn’t seem to describe much on the website about the product but glad to hear you were satisfied with them.
