Any old timers recognize this tool?

The biggest concern is breathing airborne asbestos fibers. Sounds to me like in this situation the highest risk is handling or cutting the material and being in that area, overhead or downwind. Handling/contacting it is not the direct issue. However, any released asbestos fibers by any means...

Why black seat belts are so much more "practical", like underwear?

Sorry, some things however must be handwashed, entirely.

    Pressure washing seat belts.

I would be concerned with just driving dirt deeper into the very tightly woven fabric on the seat belt, or has it been observed that the high-pressure jet exits freely? the far side of the seat belt being pressure cleaned? Are there other time tested methods, like a good overnight soaking in a...

Could someone explain how air shocks work to a newbie? And possibly how to adjust them?

I believe your contribution above was sincere, extensive and is appreciated. However, two of your points IMO were addressed in reply #3 in the second and fourth paragraphs. I will admit those points have not inspired any specific responses so far, maybe because they were simply ignored or unable...

Need to know. Will 24560r17's fit my 65 Satellite?

I would bet yes, most definitely, those are a bit tame specs IMO, assuming a proper 50? or lower profile tire

    Torq Thrust Wheel History

I agree, especially for that era. I however mounted some 17x10 5 spoke polished/gloss black Mustang TT knock offs on my daily driver Tacoma and I was pleasantly surprised how it stepped up the look besides the better handling.

    Torq Thrust Wheel History

This is a current 62 I own. I bought it sight unseen that had a set of 14x8 American Racing 200S wheels, fully expecting them to be replaced with my favorite Torque Thrusts of years past. The "Coke bottle" style wheels seemed like a European version of TT's that never really caught on. I grew to...

Was the incorporation of a video of a plane flying in rain with or without wipers intentional?

    Theoretically

I agree, but few of our cars meet fully meet that standard. Splash shields on disc brakes might be an example. So far, I can't find that commonly accepted broad requirement in a written Florida statue.

    Theoretically

Florida law quoted: (3) The windshield on every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device for cleaning rain, snow, or other moisture from the windshield, which device shall be constructed as to be controlled or operated by the driver of the vehicle. The law also requires that headlights be...

    exhaust system reroute 1970 charger

"it might be a heat issue and i was thinking if it would be possible to build a Challenger T/A side tips " However, those are likely separate unrelated issues. Side exits on our cars IMO seem rather inefficient flow wise and more cosmetic than anything. I'd rather see simplified under the axle...

Could someone explain how air shocks work to a newbie? And possibly how to adjust them?

The problem though remains, the case has not IMO conclusively been made that air shocks punch thru anything by their use. The case has been made that air shocks can damage a rear cross member by over extended repeated bottoming out cycles with a pulling apart failure. I could see that eventually...

Could someone explain how air shocks work to a newbie? And possibly how to adjust them?

I see one aspect that would concern me he (curiousyellow) notes. The hit from an air extended shock might generate repeatedly as it bottomed out on extension would be intense. However that would be abusive to the car and rather dumb to allow. I think he is also addressed axle wind up regarding...
