Rear Flat Tire Change Roadside Tips

My car is not roadworthy yet, but I've been thinking about the same problem. I think the answer for me is to buy a scissors jack kit from a late model F 150 in the plastic case and use it at the front leaf spring mount to raise the body enough to take the tire off. Just thinking!

A great car is the star of a new TV show coming in May 2025

I always look for things like that in period pieces, that and after being in extra on some shows and a couple of movies I look more for continuity errors or other weird things, like the same random background guy walking behind the lead actors 5 times in a scene.

Rear Flat Tire Change Roadside Tips

I"ve owned my 1968 Plymouth Satellite since 2010. It's the first rear leaf spring car I've owned. No stranger to changing flat tires, but have not had to change one yet on the rear of the car. I have removed the rear wheels a few times in my driveway and usually use a floor jack under the...

    68 Charger quarter panels

Beautiful color, I love it when people go with outside-the-box paint colors instead of the ever-so-common original choices. Can't wait to see the body painted that color.

Yes if you have the clutch sure grip, and stock axle bearings, you need the buttons. Maybe that's the problem, the passenger axle is cranked in so far it's pushing on the clutches..

    Tire size

How wide are the front wheels and what offset? Is the front of your car lowered? I have 255/60-15 all 4 on a 70 Plymouth, fit fine on stock 15x7 rallies. No rubbing ever.

Could someone explain how air shocks work to a newbie? And possibly how to adjust them?

Air shock inflation works just like a tire, hit the valve let air out, or push the inflator to add air. They could be set up in unison, or separately with individual lines to each shock. You inflate/deflate pressure to your preference with an air pressure gauge. And the old wives tales about...

Tapered bearings need the thrust button to set end play, but shouldn't cause this issue. I'm no expert, maybe someone else will know what's wrong. But I'd call Yukon and see what they say.
