I see this edge is knocked off on the block of some of 400s I see online. Mine is in the same spot only larger. Is this common or something to be concerned about?
Ok. I see a difference in them now. The two I posted appear to be non rally. They have the thicker inside edge and are 1/8" taller than the one in my 68 Charger.
These two I posted are identical in apperance and measurements in the ash receptical and have the same part number as on my 68. The ones I have must all be for the rally dash.
Heres the two I have side by side. The black one from a 68 Charger, the gold one from a standard dash 69 Coronet. I see the faint line in the middle on both. My green 68 Charger ash tray is the same as these two. I dont know what to think anymore.
The previous owner of my old 70 R/T cut the pistol grip end off the shifter and welded a ball to it with a line lock. Im not sure if it was for comfort or faster shifting at the track. I still have that shifter and am probably going to put it in my truck.
Its interesting to see the variations of the same part. My 68 has only one set of the slotted holes on the ends as said above. In my pic the bottom bracket is off a very late 69 Charger and the top bracket is off of a 70 Charger using the 2nd pattern of slotted holes on the end. Note the extra 2...
Espos site said 3 month lead time when I checked two weeks ago. I bought the MP ones from Summit since i didnt want to pay alot for Eatons again. Ive used the MP ones twice now and happy so far.
Agreed. My 1st 70 Charger was FF4 light green with a white interior and at the time I thought it was a very plain/typical combo but now I realize you dont see that too often.
Im looking for at least 5 to 10 1/2" rear RH lug studs. Must have good threads and should be the same part from the 60s thru the 80s cars. I know the Dormans are available just trying this 1st. Shown is a left just for looks and length. Thanks.
