Glad you didn't take offense to my comment... I wasn't meaning to discriminate...
IMO cool is cool, doesn't matter to me whether it's a car, a truck, a Mopar, a Ford or a GM...
In the past I've had quite a few buddies with 442's.... And yeah, Joe was Doc Olds' right hand man...
These days it seems every 442 or Cutlass has gone the way of the Donk....
Might be a good idea to clarify that is per clutch... So 6 discs = .090-.120
To tight will definitely cause what in the past was called "Shift Overlap" which is much more self explanatory than "Shift Bind-up"
There are varying thickness frictions and steels.... Go visit a local trans shop...
Lots of guys remove all the lead, personally I like using lead, done properly it's a very good long term fix that is more resistant to failure due to flex than any conventional body filler...
The drivers side still looks pretty good after 57 years... The passenger side the lead isn't what...

How would you relay those added options to the workers on the line without raising any flags?
Every station...
Yup, actually a thin aluminum sheet with the woodgrain and lettering silk screened onto it, that is epoxied to a metal backing that has the tabs stamped through it... Good luck, I saw some cars being prepped to go to Aussieland back in the 80's.. Some were a lot better than others...
Sorry, I know all to well what you're going through... Been through it since six times & to be honest every time I read one of these posts it brings the pain right back.... They give so much love but they just don't live long enough
