Great trip to the Bruno car show!

FINALLY we made it happen: an epic mopar convoy 80 miles to the Bruno,SK show and shine. My childhood friend (owner of ‘70 charger which we used to cruise around in highschool), his uncle (owner of ‘70 super bee) and me in my ‘69 charger hit the road and enjoyed the great day in Bruno. We were...

    over-center spring

The reason people remove the over center spring is with a diaphragm pressure plate it taks so much less effort to release the clutch that the over center spring can cause the pedal to remain on the floor... Or at least to not fully engage...

    OEM Glue removal

It dosent vacuum. It's glue...stuck to the floor..originally installed to keep the Jute padding and carpet in place during interior assembly. So it's kinda sticky..and stinky. Plus the Killmat won't stick to it well. So I need to clean it up.

    over-center spring

You are wrong... The very name of the spring should tell you that it does by the design of the mechanism.. Disconnect the linkage, depending on where it is in it's travel the pedal is pulled either to the floor assisting in depressing the clutch or typically in the upper 2" or so of travel it...

    Recover your own seats.

Done a number of my cars. Buy the good pliers and rings. A few things I learned: I bought the straight and 90 degree pliers, never used the 90. If the old covers have the metal rod inserts save and reuse in the new covers. If the original foam is in very good shape, and molded, consider...

Early Hemi Story - Looking for info

Hi everyone, not sure if this is the correct spot for this but I’m basically looking for info on a motor I just purchased. I recently acquired a fresh built 1941 Willy’s coupe hotrod project that has a 1964 426 hemi in it. The fellow I purchased the car from was the one that built the car and...

    Rough idle? 318

I kept saying to myself this feels like a vacuum leek. And indeed it was, I just did not check that booster connection like the other guys said. I even think I know what happened. The last thing I did before the problem started was check the master cylinder. I probably knocked that plug off when...

    over-center spring

Well, you have 3/4 of it right. I have 2 4-speed cars, neither one does the overcenter spring hold the clutch pedal up. I don't understand what is so difficult to understand, but here we are.

    Rough idle? 318

What is your vacuum gauge readings ? That's the first thing I'd do when you brought your car into my garage. { Edit: sorry, didn't read all the posts, only the first 2-3. But you did post in #1 that you checked for vacuum leaks. This is one of the first things I learned as a kid 55+ years ago...

66 Coronet 500 Driver, Light Resto

I am hoping this Hayden one will last a while longer. Been working on the tune as well, but it's difficult with cylinders dropping out and coming back randomly, so I think it's about as good as it's gonna get.
