Measure the vertical of the port, 340 is much taller. Check with a 340 exhaust gasket, check the head and then the manifold. I would say no, will not work. Could not find a 318 heat shield/gasket when I rebuilt my 318 and tried a 340 exhaust gasket, stock cast iron manifold, no way.

The advantage to running air port heads is, if you want to run headers, they will actually seal. The air port head has enough material around the port for the 340 sized headers. Early 318 do not, and would leak.
