Kern,
The two door black 'Dart' was just called a Valiant here & there were two models, VF & VG designations sold between 1969 & 1971. Biggest engine available was 318. These cars were ' left over' 1967-8 US Darts. The bodies, from the front windscreen back were shipped complete to Oz...
Are those the Cobra calipers? Manual brakes or power?
It looks like you didn't have any trouble getting your center cap to clear the dust cap (?) on the spindle.
It's interesting that you got that closed style of lug to work. It doesn't appear to be biting on many threads, but it's hard to...
Thank you, the car is rust free, #'s matching engine and trans, all paper work was included. Perfect broadcast sheet found under the rear seat. Needs work to get back on the road. But where can you find one like that in 2025. I felt 10k was fair to both of us. The car didn't run or drive, and I...
Quick question, observation?
your friend bought this particular A12 and has had it for awhile and is looking to trade? What type of title paperwork does he have and was-is the current title in his name?
I ask this, see your in New York, not making assumptions but don’t know if your friend is...
Oh boy....THAT was mighty respectable of you.
I agree though, I'd feel bad taking advantage of a guy that really didn't know the value....especially if he was a nice person.
Kudos to you, man!
When I Talked to him on the phone he said 12. I assumed he was asking 12k. But when I looked over the car and offered 10k cash, he was really surprised. So now I think he was asking 12 hundred. But I would not have felt right giving him $1200. I think 10k was fair to both of us.
If I remember right, Rick Ehrenberg did a big brake upgrade on the '69 Valiant "Green Brick". He had the big brake on one side and the standard 1973-76 rotor and caliper on the other....and ran it up and slammed on the brakes. The car did NOT pull to the side with the bigger brake. The advantage...
Me too. I spent my entire career getting up early despite a mind and body clock that always wanted to stay up late.
Now that I'm retired, I'm rarely up before 10:00 AM.
I’m always annoyed by how early the local Cars n Coffee is, so if there was a local thing later in the day I would go to that more often. But I mean local in my town, if it’s out of town then I still have to leave early to get there.
Can you tell I hate getting up early?
Thanks, I see how the bracket is aligned now.
I searched my email and didn't find anything from you, not even in the spam folder. Well, thanks for trying, and replying to this thread.
I think at that point it’s probably cheaper to get a decent computer and just run the AI stuff locally. I do that with a new Mac, yeah it was around a grand but I’m set for a good long while. The AI I run on it Ollama and DiffusionBee were both free if I remember correctly.
