Im a little surprised nobody has pointed out that the filter is supposed to be in front of the engine in between the alternator and fuel pump. More importantly though I can’t see if there is a hard line from fuel pump up to the filter. All rubber hose is a no no.

Proper procedure is to park on level ground. Start car and warm up to operating temperature, place transmission in Neutral only ! Check fluid level, should be about 1 pint low to be proper amount.
