Those filters commonly come in 5/16 and 3/8 diameter depending on what size your fuel line is. Are you sure you got the correct size filter to match your fuel line?
In the pic below that's a 3/8 on the right, and a 5/16 on the left.

Not sure. The problem is this a blind mate connection. This means no access from behind or anywhere. It’s a press fit. Maybe I can 3D print something. I just don’t like PLA and I can’t print nylon. Also it’s a snap fit on the moulding side and thats real tricky to tolerance up.
Larry Kraut in WI is great to deal with and VERY good with Thermoquads. He did a mechanical resto on mine, so no replating, etc. He really knows his stuff and was very reasonable. My carb runs great now.

Wondering how the fiberglass trunk lids are for 1969 road runners? Not having much luck in finding a useable trunk lid. As a last resort, how are the fiberglass ones? I've read the lock area is thick but other than that they are great? Any other real experience with them?
