Those filters commonly come in 5/16 and 3/8 diameter depending on what size your fuel line is. Are you sure you got the correct size filter to match your fuel line?

Not sure. The problem is this a blind mate connection. This means no access from behind or anywhere. It’s a press fit. Maybe I can 3D print something. I just don’t like PLA and I can’t print nylon. Also it’s a snap fit on the moulding side and thats real tricky to tolerance up.
Larry Kraut in WI is great to deal with and VERY good with Thermoquads. He did a mechanical resto on mine, so no replating, etc. He really knows his stuff and was very reasonable. My carb runs great now.

I've never found anything I like on Kijiji. Craigslist in the Vancouver area is far more popular, but facebook marketplace is catching up. My last couple of purchases of car parts were on marketplace.
