That might fit as the width is approximately 1-3/4”however that taper pin will not positively lock. It’s a jam fit and might come loose with vib etc.

How wide is the trim? This clip is for 1.25-1.75, they make these in varying sizes... To install you put the clip in and rotate it till it grabs, the little plastic tail is flexed to snap in and lock the clip... The stud that snaps into the body of the car remains centered as the clip is rotated...
