Post up facts and things that hardly anyone knows...... (for entertainment purposes only. NO need to fact check)

An office tower built in London managed to singe people's hair, melt plastic on a car and crack slate tiles, just because of its shape. 20 Fenchurch Street, the official name, is often called the "Walkie-Talkie" tower due to its shape. Unfortunately, insufficient solar modelling meant that the...

    1969 Rallye fuel gauge test

Just don’t ground it for very long… Only long enough for the gauge to read. It should move almost immediately when you ground it as stated above. If it doesn’t respond within just a few seconds it’s not going to.

When is enough going to be enough? Wtf?

Might interject a comment/story here that whilst not entirely on subject, is, I believe germane to the discussion... Many moons ago - some almost 40 years now [gee Im getting old]- I became acquainted with a man at a Chevrolet dealership who was still, after all the years, an enthusiast, as...

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. Your '65 Satellite is a beautiful ride! Thanks for your pictures. 1965 B-bodies were never produced in Canada, and were not actively marketed. This makes them uncommon up here, but they are gradually showing up.

What is this thing between the trans and speedometer cable?

I just removed the old speedometer gear and it was a 26 tooth so that means to me that the right angle adapter was definitely some sort of ratio adapter. With a 26.5 tire which was what was on the car before and 3.55 gears, it calls for a 35 tooth gear. Not even close!

727 Accumulator removed, no spring, no stop

I quite often left the accumulator spring out on my rebuilds. I tried putting the blocker rod under the accumulator on a couple of rebuilds, but did not like the results, so quit doing that. The flash between 2nd and 3rd could be a band adjustment. Try a 1/2 turn tighter, to quicken band...
